The Transforming the Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Delta (TRVC) project applies a results-based financing mechanism to incentivize businesses to lead rice value chain transformation and scale up the adoption of low-emission rice farming practices. Through this approach, the project enhances economic, social and environmental value while directly contributing to the One Million Hectares Programme and Vietnam’s goals on emissions reduction and sustainable development.
After two years of implementation, the project has demonstrated proven results at scale. Lessons learned from the project and its partners provide valuable insights for scaling up the model and informing policy development.
