The Transforming Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Delta (TRVC) project applies a results-based mechanism to incentivize agribusinesses to lead the transformation of rice value chains. Through this approach, the project promotes the scaling up of low-emission rice cultivation practices, enhancing economic, social, and environmental value while directly contributing to Vietnam’s One Million Hectares of High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice program, as well as the country’s greenhouse gas emission reduction and sustainable development goals.
After two years of implementation, the project has demonstrated its effectiveness at scale. Lessons learned from the project and its partners will provide valuable insights for scaling up the model and informing policy development.
